With his cascade of daily emails, the “Count” appears more and more perplexed by his failure to divine the results of the January election. With his prophesy of a Smith-Roberts win failing to materialize, he now seems intent on lambasting the shortcomings of those campaigns for his own lack of basic campaign understanding.

Sad, but at the same time a bit of a guilty pleasure to watch.

Perhaps it is time to look under the hood for a closer look at how the “Count” and almost everyone else got it all wrong. Let’s start with the obvious: the puppet master who got her strings crossed.
